Invisible Channel Fix

There are so many factors you need to consider when deciding the best fencing system for your property. Some of the most important things are:

Let’s talk about one of our systems that’s popular because the glass fence doesn’t need any type of fixtures or hardware; it comes straight up from the ground. We call this the ‘invisible channel fix system’.

For this design, we use 135cm high, 12mm thick toughened glass panels that are available in a range of widths to accommodate various fence configurations. This system is guaranteed to achieve the utmost level of visual appeal. As exciting as it sounds, this system requires a little bit more work prior to installation. Most of the time, enquiries regarding our invisible channel fix are done when a home or property is just being built so we could work with the builder before any actual installation. This ensures we have the right measurements and everything is where it should be prior to installing the fence. If you already have your house or property built, not to worry—installation is still possible but may require a considerable amount of planning and concrete cutting.

With 35 years of experience in the building industry, we have created a method of installation for this fence and are proud of the workmanship that we put in every project, big or small. We have to locate and mark where the glass panels by cutting a channel 10cm deep and about 4.5cm in width on the cement near the fence line. A specialised shock-absorbing plastic is laid inside the channel where the glass will be set. After that, the glass panel is inserted in place and the hole is filled up with a non-shrinking grout to add support. Nothing else is visible save the glass itself. No posts, no spigots, nothing to detract from the fence itself.

In the many years that we have been working on this type of system, we understand that planning and preparation is important because mistakes are simply unacceptable. Since the glass seems to rise from the ground and is supported by an invisible channel system, it certainly isn’t a practical job removing all the panels and resetting everything.

An invisible channel fix is one of the most minimalistic designs for a glass pool fence and if that’s what you’re going for, this is an option worth thinking about. Even with the lack of visible supporting systems, we make sure the fence is still compliant to swimming pool safety standards and guidelines, passing proper inspection and certification. We have spent a great deal of time perfecting our system and the techniques we use. We are proud of what we can offer you. If you’re looking for something that will be the least intrusive as a pool fence, then this system is definitely for you.
